Our Easy Chair

We are proud to present our first Easy Chair. At least, our first prototype, which is currently in full development and testing to be launched on the market in 2026. This piece of furniture is completely expertly produced with craftsmanship and love for materials. Everything is handmade in Belgium, with the very highest quality and workmanship in mind.Designed at Okyo by Jochen Magyar and developed in collaboration with Casimir Ateliers in Antwerp. In 2001, Jochen Magyar had an internship with furniture artist Casimir. It is great to join hands again and work together on this special project.We wanted to develop a static and monumental seating element. Not a piece of furniture that is constantly being moved, but an object with a fixed, prominent place in a room. Think of a place near a bookcase, music room, cigar bar or by a fireplace. A seat in which the comfort and materials speak for themselves.The Easy Chair feels classic and timeless, with subtle references to the 1970s. From the very first moment, we saw this piece of furniture fitting perfectly with a classic vinyl record player or in an atmospheric cigar bar. This probably led to the cylindrical volumes that typify the seat. The design of the seat arose purely from ergonomics and was deliberately kept sober. Nevertheless, the seat was given a refined finish, with pleated leather in the curves of the seat, inspired by YSL's Penny loafers.With this Easy Chair, we pay homage to traditional craftsmanship, timeless design and uncompromising quality.
